NOTE: Discipleship (2)

 

To help the international congregation understand “discipleship,” credit card membership was offered as an example. When asked what credit card members should do to keep membership in good standing the congregation responded with several reasonable answers, including paying bills and following the creditor’s rules. Simply, Phrae Mo responded that credit cards should not be lost. Ha! That’s right! Christian's discipleship fee was paid by Jesus’ blood. What if we could lose our discipleship? Fortunately, nothing can snatch us out of God's hand (John 10:28-29).

다민족 교우들이 “제자의 신분”을 이해하는 데 도움이 되도록 신용카드 회원 자격을 예로 들었습니다. 우수한 신용 카드 회원이 준수해야 할 사항이 무엇인지 물었더니, 지급을 잘 해야 하며 카드 회사의 준수 사항을 잘 지켜야 한다는 등 상식적인 답변들이 나왔습니다. 프레모는 단순히 신용카드를 잃어버리지 말아야 한다고 했습니다. 아, 참~ 맞는 말이군요! 기독교인의 제자훈련비는 예수님의 보혈로 이미 지급되었는데, 만일, 우리가 제자의 신분을 잃어버리면 어떤 일이 일어날까요?
